Take 5 minutes to share your knowledge on buildings near you...and be part of worldwide collaborative science!

The Global Earthquake Model (GEM) and the World Housing Encyclopedia (WHE) need your expertise to improve our understanding of the global building stock. You can do this by describing a building or building type in your country using a tool GEM has developed, called TaxT. Your participation will assist GEM and WHE in generating a comprehensive, global building taxonomy and further the science of seismic risk reduction.

Please take 5 minutes to think of a building in your country (or country you are familiar with) and fill out a very brief multiple-choice form describing the building's attributes. You then need to save the file and send it back to EERI via email (taxonomy@eeri.org). Many of these short reports, after review, will be published on the WHE website and GEM will continue to share all outcomes of the Building Taxonomy project through GEM Nexus (see http://www.nexus.globalquakemodel.org/g ... g-taxonomy).
