FREE LIVE INTERACTIVE WEBINARS on MATLAB and Simulink - Μάρτιος 2011

Global Optimization with MATLAB Products

Engineers, scientists, and financial analysts use optimization to find better solutions to their problems. In this webinar we will present MathWorks global optimization solutions for finding the best solution, or multiple good solutions, to problems that contain multiple maxima or minima, including problems that are nonsmooth or discontinuous. Product demonstrations will illustrate how you can use global search, genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, or direct search solvers to solve challenging real-world problems. Improving optimization execution speed using parallel computing will also be discussed.

This is an introductory webinar, and requires no previous knowledge of MATLAB.
The webinar will last approximately 60 minutes. A Q&A session will follow the presentation and demos.

Product Focus
· Global Optimization Toolbox™
· Optimization Toolbox™
· MATLAB®
· Parallel Computing Toolbox™

Verification of Embedded Software (C/C++/ADA) using Polyspace

Since testing alone cannot prove the absence of defects in software, faulty software may be released to production resulting in failures in the field. In this webinar, you will learn best practices and techniques that demonstrate the quality and reliability of your software. You will learn about new verification techniques using MathWorks Polyspace® code verification products that can improve robustness of systems, in particular those with embedded software. Through technical demonstrations you will learn:

· How to identify where software is faulty
· Methods to improve the quality and reliability of software
· How to prove that certain types of software defects will never occur.

Mathematical Modeling with MATLAB Products

In this webinar, you will learn how to use MATLAB to build mathematical models for forecasting and optimizing the behavior of complex systems.

Product demonstrations will highlight how you can:
· Develop models using data fitting and first principle modeling techniques
· Identify parameters that optimize system performance
· Simulate models and develop custom postprocessing routines
· Generate reports that document model derivation and simulation results
· Share models

In this webinar we describe a variety of strategies and techniques you can use to increase the simulation performance of your Simulink models. Through case studies, this webinar will illustrate how to identify and address bottlenecks during simulation.

Topics covered include the following:
· Fast, easy steps to try first to increase Simulink performance
· How to find the performance bottlenecks for your model
· Using MATLAB within Simulink
· Frame-based processing versus sample-based processing
· Tips for saving and displaying data
· Running multiple simulations with Parallel Computing Toolbox™

MATLAB for Excel Users

Many technical professionals find that they run into limitations using Excel for their data analysis applications. This webinar highlights how MATLAB can supplement the capabilities of Excel by providing access to thousands of pre-built engineering and advanced analysis functions and versatile visualization tools. We will also discuss how MATLAB improves computational speed and enables you to handle larger data sets.

Learn how to:
· Exchange data between MATLAB and Excel
· Create custom analysis and visualization functions in MATLAB and call them from Excel
· Automatically generate reports to document your analysis
· Freely distribute your MATLAB functions as Excel add-ins

Previous knowledge of MATLAB is not required for this webinar. The presentation will last approximately 60 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A session.
